Major Metropolitan Daily
This client, strong, successful, and dominant in its market was looking for productivity improvements and expense reduction. Initial efforts focused on the production operations but the project eventually included refinements in virtually every department from News and Advertising, to Finance, IT, Human Resources, and Circulation.
During the course of our year there, the original goal of more than six million dollars in annual benefit was boosted first to nine million and then nearly 12. At the project's conclusion, the publisher announced that as a result of the combination of internal efforts and the DCG project, the next year's expense budget would be more than 16 million less than the current year.
Follow up meetings have confirmed that the savings projections are accurate and the benefit continues to fall to the bottom line.
